A new state-of-the-art, 130,000 sq ft Archives of Ontario facility at York University’s campus in Toronto.

The new, self-contained, academic research facility houses over $400 million in archive collections owned by the Province of Ontario and meets international archival standards.

The facility stands to welcome public while ensuring the facility and all valuable articles are secured at all times. The facility incorporated various material reference areas accessible to public and secure vaults accessible to designated staff.

Each area of the facility had its own very specific unique requirements.

 

Budget: $85,000,000

Role/Responsibility:

 

Lobo developed the Security requirements of the facility. Lobo was also responsible for contract admin services, including construction reviews, resolving construction issues, performance testing and commissioning.
