Design and construction of a new 215,000 sq ft, multi-use, multi storey building to replace the existing building part of the iconic St. Lawrence Market.
The new building consisted of a market area for vendors, restaurant, Provincial Offences Act courthouse, and multilevel underground public parking area.
Due to the multiple uses of the building, an in-depth circulation analysis was performed to ensure the various security levels and requirements for each user group were maintained.
Lobo developed the Security requirements of the facility. Lobo was responsible for the design of the Security System and IT/Structured Cabling System, including the preparation of system layouts, riser diagrams, door details, and engineering specifications. They were also responsible for contract admin services, including construction reviews, resolving construction issues, performance testing and commissioning.
