Master Plan for the 27 hectare site, which was the first State in Saudi Arabia. Based on the UNESCO certification, the site was to be transformed into an international tourist attraction consisting of a variety of museums, mosques, souks and historical elements connected through pedestrian catwalks. The site also incorporated a state of the art light and sound show displayed on the existing facade of the buildings. Detailed security assessment was performed, including a threat, risk, and vulnerability assessment, security concepts such as Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), and the development of security zones, security strategy, security systems and security design guidelines.
Lobo was responsible for performing the security assessment of the site. Lobo additonally produced the security sections of the master plan.
